1. To find competitors with spyfu.com, just put in your own domain, then scroll down till you see: “Competition”:

2. Now copy & paste each competitor inside this tool: ahrefs.com/backlink-checker, here you can get a backlink report:

1. Copy the data into the table on top of this page.

2. When you scroll down, you can look at websites linking to your competitors:

5. The next step is to look for backlink opportunities that are relevant for your website.

So try to see if there are websites like directories, these websites usually have a simple submission form, where you can submit your website.

Try to keep in mind that not every website will be worth the effort to try and get a backlink.

6. Now, when you have found opportunities, you can add them in the table on top of this page. (To make sure you submit to them just once)

7. That’s it, keep looking for competitors & keep looking for backlink opportunities.
